For apartments located on the 2nd floor and above, there is a waste room that has a rubbish chute and a yellow topped recycling bin. Each chute leads to a collection hopper located on the 1st floor. Also, there is a larger hopper and additional bins located in a garbage area located on the eastern side of the 1st floor.

Only small leak proof bags of general rubbish should be put down the chute to avoid blockages. Do not put glass down the chute for safety reasons unless the glass is wrapped in newspaper or cardboard.

Residents are encouraged to recycle wherever possible. A recycling bin is also available in the rubbish chute room to take small amounts of recyclable material saving build-up in apartments.  Large boxes should be collapsed and taken to the recycling hoppers located in the main garbage area.

Removalists should be encouraged to return to collect empty boxes.
The apartment recycling facilities are not designed to be able to dispose of the amount of cardboard and other waste associated with a move-in.
